Raise a WSPA Helping Hand for Romanian Bears

Not so long ago, I seemed to be bombarded with sad animal stories on my Facebook newsfeed posted by a handful of animal loving friends. At the time, I found it hard to take in the photos of these abused creatures, but I made the decision that I would read of their plight without deleting the horrific image. There seemed to be no point in reading and forgetting, so I’ve decided to do my bit for the forgotten creatures of the world by advertising their welfare agencies.

One issue that most people find intolerable is that of the captive bears in Romania. The good news is the World Society for the Protection of Animals has been able to rescue three young bears from the inappropriate undersized concrete cages of Onesti Zoo. However, there are still fewer than 20 bears living in cramped concrete enclosures that need liberating. Zarnesti Sanctuary holds the key to their future with a 69 hectare forest environment.

If you would like to make a one-off donation to the WSPA to help free these older bears, please click here:

By clicking the above link, you’ll find how the WSPA uses donations to feed and rescue bears and other animals suffering from horrendous lifestyles. Remember, most donations over $2.00 are tax deductible. Print off your receipt and file it away for the end of the fiscal year. It will be this small task that paves the way for a life of dignity for these bears.
